Ranches of the Rupununi
Visit the Ranches of the Rupununi, working ranches that have opened their
doors to visitors. Cattle are still worked the age old way from horseback and
cowboys ride barefoot in the stirrup. Situated in both the north and south
Rupununi, each ranch offers an unusual experience.

|
It is here that many endangered species survive -
Black caiman, Arapaima fish, Harpy eagle, Giant river otter. Visits to more
remote Amerindian villages, rock paintings, and the Kanuku Mountain range know
for it multitude of wildlife, begin from these ranches. |

|
Much of the service is personalised, tours and adventures from the ranches being run by the owners
themselves. Here, the chance to meet the intrepid pioneers of adventure in
Guyana is an experience to be remembered. Trips from the ranches either by open
back 4x4 vehicle, motor powered canoes, horse-back riding or trekking are
exciting and stimulating. |
